I cannot say enough good things about the care and professionalism we received from Chapel of Chimes. From the moment I first contacted them, their team was compassionate, organized, and incredibly supportive during one of the hardest moments of my life. My husband was Jewish, and we had several specific cultural and religious needs for his arrangements. Rick and Jennica were exceptional. They took the time to understand what was important, asked thoughtful questions, and ensured every detail was handled with dignity and respect. Their willingness to accommodate our family’s needs, and to do so with such care, brought me an enormous amount of comfort. Throughout the process, they communicated clearly, followed through on every commitment, and gave me complete confidence that my husband was in capable, caring hands. I will always be grateful for the grace and kindness Rick, Jennica, and the entire Chapel of Chimes team showed my family. Chapel of Chimes provided outstanding service, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking a compassionate and professional funeral home in Fairbanks.

My husband passed away and I chose Chapel of Chimes to take care of him because we had used them before when my husband's mother passed away and had a positive experience. My daughter and I had an appointment with Quisha. We had such a wonderful experience with her including when I picked up my husband’s ashes and the death certificate. She made us feel like we were old friends, she was so easy to talk to. We were so comfortable with her that we didn't even cry(shocking as we are both emotional and sensitive)and we had even brought our own box of tissues. She walked us through everything, answered the MANY questions I had and we even laughed. We shared some stories about my husband with her and how he was. We had a positive experience and we are very happy with how we were treated and taken care of by Quisha.

Staff was great for getting things scheduled. We needed our Veteran K9 moved from one urn to a customized one. Keisha(I hope I’m spelling her name right) was wonderful to work with.

Making the arrangements were thoughtful and simple. The only problem was the day of the viewing. We bought our grandfather a new suit, shoes, everything. We brought it all into the funeral home the day prior, like we were told to do and spoke with the gentleman we had been making the arrangements with. We not only handed him the outfit and accessories but we also made the payment, he told us our grandfather would be dressed and ready by 11am. We arrived around 11:45 as our viewing was scheduled for 12. The doors were locked and the women that was there took what felt like 5 minutes to come to the door, they didn’t answer our calls so we were just waiting out side. Rather than apologizing for taking so long, the first thing she said was that we were late and that we were expected by 11. Of course that irritated me and I explained what we were told and she said okay and had walk away. We approached our grandfather, he looked so peaceful and we were very grateful for that. Unfortunately he wasn’t dressed in the clothes we gave to the funeral home. I am dissatisfied because we specifically spoke to that man and dropped the outfit off and were assured that he would be dressed in it all.

When my mother passed away, the gentlemen that came to take her showed up in their pj's. The next day at our appointment, the same guy showed up in the same pj's, got mad at me for sitting in his spot at the table, and took 3 separate phone calls during the meeting. Personally wouldn't recommend.

Amanda and staff were very helpful to our family at the time of our loss. They guided us through the arrangements in a compassionate and professional manner.
